A PMP Exam Simulation Program can Help you Pass the Project Management Exam

Using a PMP simulation program can help you study for the PMP exam in the same format you will see on test day. PMP simulation programs are designed by certified project management professionals and are based on the 3rd edition of the Project management body of knowledge. The questions are often very similar to that which PMI uses on their exams.

It is good practice for students to grade their readiness before sitting in for the real thing. You want to get in as much practice as possible before you actually take the exam. Make sure the PMP simulation study program you purchase covers all 44 PMI knowledge areas in detail.

Before taking the exam, prepare a reference sheet with formulas and quick definitions which you may be having trouble with. A trick you can do is recreate the reference sheet you memorized during the exam on your extra sheets. Candidates should memorize and actually know how to use estimating formulas. Questions involve the exam giving you one part of the answer and you will have to fill in the blanks or you plugging numbers in the formula.

When taking the pmp exam, be sure you think about what the question is really asking you. Don't rush through and miss a small word like NOT or any other keyword that can change the entire question. When your taking the exam, don't be intimidated in long, wordy questions. Some PMP questions can be a full 300 words, even though most of these questions are simply setting the stage or setting the background of the situation, you still must carefully read and watch your time used on each question. Again, if you use a simulation program rather than a book or just words on paper, you can better prepare for the exam.

A small tip that often works is eliminating easy answers that just have nothing to do with the question and are not similar to the other answers. PMI along with a lot of other professional examinations will often give you several answers that are similar of trick you. Quickly disregard any answers that simply don't make sense to save valuable amounts of time. Don't leave any question blank or unanswered. The official pmp exam along with most pmp simulators have a review feature where you can mark the question for review later and you will be able to return to it when you've finished all the other questions.
