The thought of getting car insurance with no license is something that would confuse a lot of people. The reason for this is simply because you are not legally allowed to drive without a license, and therefore why would you want to bother paying for car insurance when you're not even going to be using your car. Even in the case where you are going to be naughty and drive without a license, then why would you be conscious of getting car insurance?

However, there are a number of different reasons why you might want to check car insurance without actually having your driver's license. Having your driver's license does not need to be something that is permanent. In all of these cases, where you are trying to get car insurance without having a license, the whole point is that not having a license is only a temporary measure.

How about if you were learning to drive, and therefore you did not yet have a license. You would still need insurance on your car in order to be able to take out on the road and drive it. Of course, you would need a licensed driver in the car in order to supervise your driving, however you as an unlicensed driver will still be able to drive the vehicle.

In other situation could be that you have had your licence taken away for a period of a few months for some sort of punishment due to something you have done. In this situation, you will be getting your license back at the end of your punishment, and as such will still want to make sure that your car is insured in the meantime.

Finally, it is always going to be important to have insurance on your car whether you have a license or not. Anyone who has a car needs to get insurance on it just in case it is damaged or stolen. In this sort of case, you will not be paying for high levels of coverage, but will simply be getting basic coverage against a car being stolen by a thief, or damaged by some sort of accident or natural disaster.

You may also wonder if it is difficult to get car insurance if you do not have a license, but the truth is that this should not be too much of a problem for most people. In most cases as long as you have a provisional licence, or you can prove that it is only a temporary measure, you should be able to easily get insurance for your vehicle.
